| | | Australia: Government proposes security targets for air cargo sector | |

In Australia, the government has published the Aviation White Paper titled "Flight Path to the Future" that proposed several operational and security targets for air cargo sector such as providing security training regimes for Regulated Air Cargo Agents and installing explosive trace detection equipment at cargo terminals. The security targets are aimed at increasing the efficiency of air cargo supply chain in the nation. A regulated shipper scheme regarding the appropriate use of technology to screen high risk cargo will also be developed by the government through the partnership with the freight sector.
