Graduate Entrepreneurs Fund
|
Background
This fund was created by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Co-operative Development (MeCD) to provide graduates with an opportunity to start-up their own businesses and to stimulate the growth of entrepreneurship amongst graduates. |
Allocation
RM10 million |
Who Can Apply
- Entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs with self-managed full-time businesses;
- Sole-proprietorships, partnerships and private limited companies;
- Graduates of local and foreign universities with Diplomas/Degrees obtained in the last ten years;
- Entrepreneurs with minimum capital of 10%; and
- Applicants are required to register as members with MED and enrol in the training programmes/practical training proposed by the ministry and its agencies

- Manufacturing, tourism, transportation, selected services (including ICT)
- Franchise
- Ministry of Entrepreneur Development Special Programmes (Vendor/ Mentor-Mentee/Joint Venture Research)

Funding
This loan is for financing of project costs, including purchase of fixed assets and land, and working capital requirements.
- Minimum funding per customer : RM 20,000
- Maximum funding per customer : RM 250,000 or up to 100% of the project costs
- Interest/financing rate : 4.0% per annum
- Maximum repayment tenure : 7 years
